Hi Susan, I was just scanning through my mom's old blogs, as I was very close with her....sometimes it's so hard to believe she is gone. You so admired you and was so inspired by you, someone with similar likes and a flair for decorating. She's talked about you over the years. Anyway, my mom has now been in heaven...coming up on 2 years. Some days are very hard, as there's memories everywhere of her in my own house. I might consider continuing her blog and her love of crafts and decor. Thank you for being her friend and making her smile. take care, Michelle
Hey Phyllis, I just started checking out some blogs again and thinking about posting on mine. My last post was July 2013! I've since left Palm Desert and moved to north of Denver.
Hi Phyllis, I am so saddened to hear about Mary's passing. I am so sorry for this loss of your sweet friend. Mary had so many friends in the blog world and I was included in her circle and feel blessed to have known her. My heart is heavy with hearing of the loss of this beautiful soul. I wanted to reach out to you and let you know that Rita (Panolpy blogspot) wrote a post about some dishes she had gifted to Mary and how excited Mary was to receive them. Mary's one wish which you may already have known was to make sure Kelly got these dishes after she died. There is a good back story that Rita has posted about the dishes and Mary. So if you have any contact with her son Shaun and can have him visit this blog to see the story or to make sure those dishes get packed up and saved for Kelly. I know that was a beautiful wish she had for Kelly. Here is Rita's blog post. https://wvpanoply.blogspot.com/2018/07/life-is-but-dream.html I also did a post on my blog about Mary's passing too. I hope and pray for Shaun and Kelly and also all of you sweet friends that lived near Mary. I know how much each of her friends meant to her. Keeping all of you in my prayers. We lost a good and sweet friend. Hugs, Kris
HI Kris, This is Phyllis's Daughter Michelle. I came across your comment as I was just looking at all my mom's wonderful posts. My mom passed away in 2021 from Cancer. She's now in heaven with my father and Mary. Such a talented lady she was, my best friend. Stay connected, as I might think about carrying on "Around R House" as a celebration to who she was. Thank you for your kind words.
Portugal is the Biggest Racist country that i have ever lived in. I feared for my life there and i consider myself lucky that my family got out alive! I have never lived in such poverty (Sopas dos Pobres everyday) 40% unemployment rate and 60% of the population earn less than $932 USD per month, and that's considered Middle Class here! Within the European Union it is the worst of the worst place to live.
The bottom line is the bulk of the People in our poor country exist in a brainless comma that is fed by Ignorance, anti-Spanish hate, and severe Racism of pretty much everybody that isn't Portuguese! And, Portugal started the Global Slave Trade in 1441 so it is definitely NOT a safe place for Blacks!!
I found important websites that explain the Severe multi-generational Racism and Hate that exist in Portugal today, and i highly encourage all to read them and spread the word in order to avoid innocent, and desperate people from living or visiting there. Get educated on the Truths about Racist Portugal now.
PORTUGAL IS THE BIGGEST, RACIST, ANTI-SPANISH COUNTRY ON THE PLANET!
I HEREBY ALERT ALL PEOPLE ON EARTH TO NOT BUY FROM PUTUGAL, DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD, EARNED MONEY GOING THERE AND BOYCOTT ALL PORTUGEE STORES IN YOUR AREA! DON'T BUY THEIR GOODS OR WINES!!!
THESE XENOPHOBIC RACISTS HAVE TO LEARN AND THE BEST WAY IS TO BLOCK THEM ECONOMICALLY!
I would love to have you posting, again. I always enjoyed what you had to share with us. Hope all is well with you~
