HOME GOODS SHOPPING WITH MR. S.

Ahhh Home Goods shopping, you would think I had stock in this company or something or I get a huge pay day for advertising, I wish..We need to find a new comforter set for our bed and I found one I liked here, so I thought Mr. S. should get a look at it...I know he will like it, but it is always nice to ask...
wow ..had to stop and get a look at the beautiful dishes, pretty and springy...
Just look at these colors....yummy huh
 What a beautiful platter, ...
Don't you just love the pretty strawberry dishes, how fun to have those around the kitchen for the summer...
These strawberry baskets with the big red bows are too cute, wouldn't they be perfect for a tablescape and one on each place setting full of big fat strawberries.....
Oh what a pretty color of coral, I love the soft spring look....I think this is the one...
The Master bedroom is a pale beige color and there is a few aqua things there which will go nicely with this pretty coral...we won't be buying all the pillows, just the three large and the one coral one in the center......
Look at the sweet little rabbits out for the season, love them mixed with the pigs...
Ohh there is that rooster again, looks like some salt and pepper little ones, these pictures are with my phone, I have to tell you in person they are spectacular..
These Lenox cups and plates are so clean and pretty, love the color, such a different green....I can see it on the patio table with a beautiful green salad with fresh strawberries and sliced almonds on top....is it lunch time?   Maybe for breakfast with a warm chocolate chip croissant and a hot cup of coffee....yummy
Is this throw the perfect color to go with the bedroom set...I think so..it will be a nice addition thrown over the back of the chair...
Ohhhh look at the cute little Easter things that are out now....love this sweet little tray with the eggs and basket....soooo cute...
This is a delightful design in pink yellow and blue, below a couple of pictures see  how they have the cups that match the tray and egg holder.....
How about a carrot cup, love the colors on the inside, some of them have bunnys on the outside....
Oh don't you just love the little bunny cups with the pink inside....
Ahhh here are those cups that go with those bunny platters....too sweet..
Did you say you needed some pillows, this is just one row, can you believe the colors, this is the orange and earth tone row, I loved the yellow row and the blue and white row was so full of the newest patterns...
Oh no there is Mr. S. giving us a wave...he does like the new pattern and he is so patient....
Hi there sweetie, almost ready, just a few more minutes down a couple more isles....
Oh no, he is beginning to get into the decorations, oh no he is playing with the masks.,,,
Love all the pretty blue and nautical accents, they do look wonderful paired with coral, great idea..
Ahhhh a crunchy tempura shrimp California roll, this is gonna make Mr. S. very happy, he has been such a sport, this is just the ticket to put a smile on his face....
Yes this has  been the perfect treat...can you tell he is enjoying every bite...
I'm sure he will be able to finish this off in no time at all....shopping can be tiring, don't ya know...
Yep, he is a happy guy again...I think he is ready for a nap now...

Thank you for stopping by, hope you had a fun shopping trip with Mr. S. and me....let me know if you saw something and fell in love with it..it's hard not to be happy looking at all the pretty colors...I will post some pictures of the bedroom  when it  is completed...Leave me a comment and let me know if you enjoyed our shopping trip...

VALENTINE STRAWBERRIES

Nothing says Valentines Day more then hearts and chocolate dipped strawberries....
Not these exactly, because they are some of my faux food.....Mr. S. keeps eyeing them  even though he knows they are not real...
I love these faux strawberries and cupcakes...Think I will make some Valentine strawberries...
One of the reasons I love faux food is for their decorative value after the real thing is eaten...lets face it we all can't eat enough to keep these pretty plates looking full...these simple items I have used today just say Valentines Day.....so for everyday use, these  can be an easy and economical way for you to add just a touch of Happy for the month of February....and sometimes thats all you need to make your home say" Happy Easter", or "Your my Valentine" or even "Yay spring is here..".
Love  useing some of my pretty cake stands and pie plates and decorative dishes to present the food...I mean if you wait for a special occasion to bring out your wonderful silver or crystal...they don't get a chance to be on stage much....
I sure have gotten a lot of use out of this ebay tea set...so many compliments...I think for Easter I will to incorporate a few eggs and bunnies....lol
Since this is a coffee and tea set, it reminds me of a special birthday gift a friend of mine received, it was a special tea that when you added the hot water it turned into a special flower right before your eyes....sooo pretty...I found this link..TEA you all are probably very familiar with this flowering tea, I will  have to give it a try...I think I will need a glass mug so I can see the total flowering, can't wait to try, I see they have a nice variety on Amazon too....
I think I purchased the plain strawberries from the GW for 2.99 for about 15....
Hobby Lobby has a few cupcakes and pretty little food things...
Couldn't you just stick your finger in the whip cream...
yummmm
Oh go ahead and have a berry, (just make sure you don't eat it)  lol
Thanks for stopping by for some Valentine smiles...I hope you are inspired to share some happy hearts to your blog...I love reading your comments and I love reading your blogs....

THE HOTTEST NEW COOKBOOK

I received my copy of this intriguing new cookbook a few weeks ago and I am so excited to start trying out some of the great looking recipes.  I  have tried some of her recipes in the past, so I know these will be wonderful....
As you all probably know I have been having some back problems, with a pinched nerve or some such thing that required an epidural to help with the pain and the inflamation in that area, not sure it has helped, we shall see, so I did not get a chance to make some of the delicious picks, soon though...anyway back to this fun book...it is such a clever idea, all the ingredients you can get at Trader Joe's (hope you all have one) if you don't have that store in your area... you will find most ingredients at a regular supermarket....
I am sure you are all familiar with Komili Nunna, she has a blog (yes she is one of us) it is komalinunna.blogspot.com and it is Entertaining from an Ethnic Indian Kitchen...she is pretty too, I am gonna give you a bigger picture of her....in her hottest new cookbook...
I told you she was pretty....I have picked out things I will be trying when my back is better, I do need to add a couple of her coffee recipes , they look delightful...
This first pick is Roasted Brussel Sprouts, with curry and lime and chile mixed nuts, yummy...
Don't these mini turkey burgers look delish, they have ginger, cilantro and a big slice of red onion...they had me with the red onion....Oh by the way, the coffee she makes is called Coffee Blast, it has ice cream, espresso coffee Kahlua Midnight Moo chocolate syrup and milk...are you just dying, I can taste it now....
These are Turkey Kofta Curry...I love the thought of turkey meatballs...they look so fresh, you gotta love comfort food...When you pop over to see Komali you will see some beautiful entertaining ideas and some unique ways of presenting great fresh healthy indian dishes...
Strawberry Chutney...this is something I may have to make a few jars of, maybe for friends and family that drop by.....so different
She had me at the word tart, this berry tart will be a wonderful addition to my recipes for the summertime..........I don't want to leave the impression I am completely laid up,  it's just painful to stand for periods of time...so when I am completely back to normal (if there is ever such a thing) I will be up to my regular "getting into everything" kind of life ...until then ... thankfully I had my daughter help out with the Valentine Day tablescape...I kept telling her I have to do a post or my friends and fellow bloggers will think I have disappeared, you can only leave up the Christmas pictures  for so long...lol

I Thought my last pick would be this delightful spinach-mango salad with yogurt dressing...and pistachio nuts, yummy...it's so pretty, I am gonna give you a better picture....
I Hope you have enjoyed some of the really unique items I picked ..pop over to see Komali, one of our fellow blogger authors...maybe I should write a book....just kidding
Thank you for spending time Around the House, I always appreciate every visit and every comment, I read them all and love to hear what you think, it's just nice to know you are out there.
