Hoppin down the Bunny Trail....... /Be sure to turn your music up, thats me Peter Cotton-tail singin, you don't want to miss that.....
Brunch Time.....Come join us.....
This is my family, we are Cottontail Rabbits, .......I live here with my sisters flopsy, mopsy and cotton-tail and my mom, you all know what happened to my dad, lets not even go there.....
This our home.....We all live underneath the roots of this very big old fir-tree stump ..........
Nice home huh, it's huge inside.....We call it a burrow.......
Good Mornin.....
CANDY CANDY CANDY.... thats what they are lookin for.....
This is me, my name is Peter, Peter Rabbit that is, I am known around here as Peter Cottontail, you may have heard of me.....
This is Aunt Bess she is all about the carrots.....
Mrs. S. found these little champagne flutes at the GW for 99 cents each then half off for only 49 cents each for 8 glasses, wow shes a good shopper.....
Those candy eggs are my favorite....
We have come a long way since I had that incident in the garden, I learned to stay away from Mr. McGregor's garden......Thats for sure.......
We grow our own carrots now, Yummy
We've got most everything we need, we even have our own dishes made by Wedgewood, could you believe it, they have our pictures on them, we all agree they are very special....
I was so small then, Mom had to help me with everything....
I love the way our story is told all around the dishes.....
The Carrot (YUMM) placecard holders are from a small antique store, notice the tiny little bunny on the top of the card, Mrs. S. does not seem too keen on writing names on those cards, Mr. S. doesn't understand that.
Mr. S. thinks this is great, he just loves our wonderful tree root home and actually helped make it so cozy and he loves all her dishes, I think thats because she loves them, what do you think.....he's the best...
Me again...
Thanks for stoppin by, hopp you enjoyed meetin my family, it's time for brunch, so leave a comment and let me know what you think, she lets me read them all and she loves hearing from you all. Hoppin you had a good time it was fun to have you.......Peter Cotton-tail

Leprechauns invaded my table today. ;-)

Now this is darling! I think it just might be the cutest tablescape I've ever seen! I would love to use this as inspiration for a fun table with the girls get older. Just delightful!
ReplyDeleteThe stump just slays me...it makes me want to come live there. What a fanciful tablescape...and with music to boot and a cute commentary. That was a lot of fun!

ReplyDeleteThis is so adorable. I would love to dine on that table for sure.
ReplyDeleteSimply exquisite..I am overwhelmed once again at your talent! I use something like that to go to sleep at night. I go into a the base of a tree that looks very much like that, close a thick door..there is a fireplace burning cozily and a big iron bed with thick quilts on it and a hooked rug on the floor..and I climb in and go sound to sleep. :) That is my fantasy to sleep...that there you have created it right in front of me. No bunnies, but they would be welcome. :)
ReplyDeleteI love this. Just love it!
You live in a beautiful world!
Mona
Wow!!! You did a FANTASTIC job!!! Very festive for the approaching Easter holiday. I love all the bunnies.

You sure have lots of cute rabbits. I love it! I see you used your Home Depot grass again. I still haven't gotten up there to get some for myself.
ReplyDeleteThe whole time I was looking at your tablescape I was thinking: Where did she get that cute rabbit house. It so cool that Mr. S made it for you. It's great that he's on board with your tablescaping. My hubby is too.
You had asked about my large rabbit. I got it at a small shop in Virginia called The Mole Hole about three years ago. I did see one a while back on a post that Cindy at My Romantic Home did on a shop that she visited in California. I'm not sure of the spelling, but it's by Kaldoon & Bogle.
S.T.U.N.N.I.N.G.! What a wonderful one of a kind, unique Easter table...I would love to be sitting at your table for breakfast peering down into the burrow! Thank you for sharing your wonderful table!
ReplyDeleteHow cool that you have an actual tree stump to make the Cottontails little burrow?!!!??
ReplyDeleteWonderful Easter table; sooooo cute! And very creative! Love it!

ReplyDeleteThis is, hands down, the best Easter Tablescape I've ever seen! Everything is just perfect. I am so jealous of those cute carrot placecard holders.
ReplyDeleteI understand not wanting to use the cute name cards but what you can do, is copy them on card stock and then cut them out to use. That way you have the ones you love but still have cute ones to write the names on.
Hugs,
Joanne

How cute everything looks, and you have put so much work into it. Oh my gosh, my grands would never leave it along. I could NEVER have something as grand as this. This is the cutest thing I have seen for Easter on any blog! Just darling...but it takes like 5 min. to finally get loaded on my computer, maybe it's just old....but I really loved it and the music too...so cute! :D
ReplyDeleteOh Phyllis! This is just the cutest table I've ever seen! Look at all your bunny things and that root tree! You're singing my song! I do love this. I must tell you a little story. The first time my mother and dad took me to Sunday School, I was about 4 yrs. old. The teacher introduced me and then asked if any of us children would like to sing a song. Well, being not so shy, I said I would sing and sang "Here Comes Peter Cottontail". The Sunday school teach was so very kind and said that was a very nice song but we sing songs about Jesus in Sunday school. Do you know another song? Well, at that time in my tiny life, I didn't know about Jesus and sang "Davy Crockett"! That Sunday school teacher didn't tell my mother that story until I was 13 yrs. old! You've made my day!!!
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;0

Oh, now I am really ready for Easter. Your table is amazing and your husband, what a sweetie! He is so nice to help with this display. Now tell me, how do you keep the little feline from getting into your Easter scene? I have a feeling if my table looked like that these guys would have a hay-day the first time I left the house. Hugs to Tina. Deb
