AUTUMN FRONT PORCH

You've gotta have a palm somewhere, it's Ca. This one usually sits on the porch and it was too heavy to remove, soooo there you go...






If you look carefully you can see Tina in the front window, trying to figure out whats going on.. As a black cat shes all excitted because halloween is her favorite time of year....




The flowers are from Home Depot and Target...on sale of course...



She just has to see the whole process...The pumpkins are from Trader Joe's, I painted them white and then some black over the top...just adds a little pop, what do you think????




















I like the little black pumpkin. After I painted it black and I used the end of a pencil eraser and dotted it in the white paint and just touched it, seems to have worked perfect....



I think it almost looks like a cannon ball.....


The black and white ribbon is from Michaels.



The fall color of the flowers sure make you feel like the season is upon us....

Tina is loving everything and as always has...

alot to say ...



I love the way the black and white contrasts with the wonderful oranges and golds...


I traced around a leaf and painted it black, and when it was dry, I scraped a little of the paint off..

    Whaaaa! I miss Trader Joe's and the Targets here in Texas don't have a garden center.

    Wow Phyllis, you really know how to put a lot of marvellous eye candy into your decor!! Love what you did to the pumpkins, especially polka dots, such fun - will keep those ideas in mind for next year if you don't mind! Also, I may need to adopt the perfect b/w kitty to make it perfect, like on your porch!

    I love your black painted pumpkins, particularly the polka dot one. I'm in Illinois and I have a couple of palm trees in my house. I tucked a couple pumpkins under one of mine.

    I love all of your fall decor...especially the painted pumpkins. I have noticed a lot of people painting pumpkins this year....guess that is a hint for me to take up painting, huh?     Not sure if you are familiar with Mackenzie-Childs, but I was in their store the other day and they painted their pumpkins in what they call their"courtly checks"...yours look just as adorable as theirs did...Your porch looks so festive and fun...thanks for sharing it

    Love the black and white pumpkins, especially the polka dot ones.

    Funny you should mention palms. I just lugged ours in as we were expecting the temps to fall to around 20 degrees. Well they didn't fall to 20 degrees, they fell to 16 degrees. Winter is showing up early this year!

    How inviting you have made you porch!! I love the painted pumpkins! I started to pick some pumpkins up the other day and Walmart wanted 5.00 each and they were not big pumpkins! I am still waiting to find some larger (and cheaper- I know I am so squeaky cheap!)

    Ah, yes, I remember Tina now!! The Tuxedo cat like my Boots. We have a lot of cats like this on our street, but ours was not from this street. We found him at our church 15 years ago ;-)
