CHICKS AND EGGS

I have used some of my depression glass collection in this post.  The yellow glasses are from my friend Mary and the short pink glasses are from a lemonade set that belonged to my sister Bobby...There is a large platter in the center along with a pretty butter dish that also belonged to my sister Bobby...She always loved my tablescaping and would be the first to offer up anything she owned to add to any table.  I like to think as a big sister she was very proud of me...There is  a sugar and creamer I believe was also a gift from my friend Mary...these are just some of the pieces from a collection of many that I have used before..

The white charger is from Maryland glass company....The cute little casserole dishes are from Pfaltzgraff I purchased last year on line from their co....they have so many pretty little things...The green cabbage plates are Bordallo Pinheiro...they make great salad plates and also are so versatile they are wonderful for bringing to a garden like setting with their wonderful green leafy look...

These napkins I believe are from Pottery Barn and were purchased 2 years ago along with the napkin rings that are from a thrift store, I always liked the spring colors and the simple design.....
I have 4 of these little pink flower plates from the Goodwill many years ago...love their unusual design...
I sure got my moneys worth from these cookie chicks, they are from Albertsons in the bakery department and I just thought they were the sweetest ever.....I have already used them in 3 tablescapes,.The cookies were the only things that I purchased for this tablescape...yay for me...

If you are a follower of mine you probably have seen these place mats 20 times, they are so fun to use cause they have all the perfect colors and they are all a different pastel check...

This is a closer look of the sweet butter dish that was my sister Bobbys...she kept it  in her cabinet beside the dinner table, it was always with the pink lemonade set and I had always loved it all....My mom had already given me the pretty yellow lemonade set, so showing the pink pieces changes it up a little...
You can see the different colors in the place mats from this shot, there is pink, green, yellow and blue, what could be more perfect, plus they are washable

The wreath around the bunny's neck is from the Goodwill along with the Happy Easter sign from I can't remember...had to have it cause of the chick on the sign, maybe Big Lots...
Creating Easter springtime tables are fun and creative, I think I love the ones with the big fat chicks the best, so hard to find them....I like the bunnies too...

Thanks for indulging me this last Easter tablescape..it was a fun one and I loved using these little cassarole dishes, (I think they are really candy dishes) oh well I think I will use them for fruit compote...

Thank you so much for stopping by, hope you leave a comment, love hearing from you and I read each one...Don't forget to check out Will and Grace on my side bar and see what they are up to, they need some followers and I know you all will give them a boost...Keep a look out for their next episode when it is Grace's birthday...boy can those birds woop it up....I am joining The Tablescaper  between naps on the porch   tabletoptuesday  mariaelenasdecor   savvysouthernstyle

  4. Cute & bright, the re-purposed "candy dishes" are such a fun element! Love the big yellow cookie chicks too, what a great idea! I have had a little more fun than I should have with Easter scapes too, it's going to be hard to put it all away next week! I love the way you always make so many unusual things work in harmony, and your tables are always vibrant and contemporary.

  5. Hi Phyllis! Oh, what a darling table! You have such a knack of putting together a lovely table. I love all of your dishes and glassware. Guess what? The glass butter dish you have? I have a teeny little one almost just like it. Mine looks like it could have been with children's play dishes! Happy Easter to you and your family.

  6. Double hip, hip hooray for you for being able to create this lovely tablescape with spending money only on the cookies!!! That's terrific! Your friend and sister's contributions to your dish stash are great pieces that you can use over and over in so many ways. Those are the best gifts because you can think about the giver each time.

I've poked around your blog a little bit this morning and will come back when I'm not in such a rush to look around some more. I saw some really terrific posts (the quilted umbrella, the breakfast post which I think was among your first, etc.), but I need to have quiet time to sit and really read everything.

Best wishes to you and yours for a wonderful and safe Easter weekend!

  14. Phyllis - there is so much to write about here! I adore depression glass and I have always wanted one of those wonderful covered butter dishes. You have covered the chicks and the bunnies with just the adorable bunny riding the chick! Love all of your plates and those beautiful napkins. I think it is fabulous the way you changed things around and used things you already had. That is what is so much fun about tablescaping! Beautiful job!!

  28. What a beautiful table setting. I too am a collector of depression glass but rarely use it. You have inspired me to use it more often. My collection started with some pieces that were given to me by my great grandmother. Love your blog.
