I made this beautiful cake last year...I was so proud of it...ssssssssssssssssooooooo beautiful....ssssssssssssssoooooooooooooooooo DRY...but pretty...so if your wondering where the recipe is....be happy I am not putting you through that....We can however focus on the tulips...
This is a coconut cake I made last year for Easter....and trust me I would have been more then happy to share the recipe, except for the fact that the cake although beautiful, was kind of dry and I would not use the recipe again..it did make for a pretty picture....Those are yummy chocolate eggs under the glass container.
I loved the way the cute little Easter eggs look on the cake so darn cute...love the white bunnys with the little Michael Kors ribbons on their necks...so chic...lol
The rabbits with the beige (Michael Kors ribbon) were from the GW and were very inexpensive....the larger rabbit was from Tuesday Morning and believe it or not it was way after Easter and on the sale rack and was 1.99...
You have seen the white bunny casserole dish before ...it seems he is around a lot...The little candy Easter eggs are the perfect touch for this nesting cake...
The Easter eggs were a decoration I thought added to the cake...tweaking...(it's a curse)...lol...you all know what I am talking about.
I know it is early for Easter..but never too early for cake....
The beautiful tulips certainly add to the cheery table..
This cake plate is one of my favorites...not sure where it is from...just seems to fit every occasion with it's little skirt....
The cake plate is a favorite of mine...the little eyelet skirt around it always makes the cakes look so special....I am not sure where it was purchased many years ago...
I have done a few Easter things this year so please come back again and see whats new..If you are not a follower please join on my sidebar...love to hear your comments and you can also follow me on your email...just sign up on my side bar...love to see those familiar faces and the new ones too...always welcome around the house...

I love this sweet vignette! The bunnies are so cute and the cake looks delicious (even if it wasn't to your liking.)
ReplyDeleteYou are right, Phyllis, that cake looks sooo delicious! Love the bunnies. I just found my white ones today by accident and unwrapped them right away. Now I just need to find some place to put them.

Hi Phyllis!
ReplyDeleteThe cake does look good... I bet those little eggs on top were delicious... if they are the malted milk chocolate with the thin crisp shells.
I do hope you will share your Easter tablescape with the tree root turned rabbit house! I know everyone is asking for that to be shared again. I am going to try my version of it... but no tree stump/root for the centerpiece. If I remember correctly you had a like help (husband) on that one.

ReplyDeleteHello just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The text in your
ReplyDeletepost seem to be running off the screen in Firefox.
I'm not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with internet browser compatibility but I thought I'd post to
let you know. The style and design look great though!
Hope you get the problem resolved soon. Many thanks
