I am revisiting my potting bench project for the finishing touch...if you missed it just click here for a quick visit...

Things look finished from the pictures, but if you take a look at the
Holes'll see..

A closer look will show you the dilemma...

This umbrella has been propped up on the storage side of the house for a couple of was always going to be a temporary fix for the glaring sunshine on the potting bench...SOOOOOO since I am such a tweaker of things I just couldn't resist....

So many holes...

I knew I could not sew temporary patches on the holes because the fabric would not hold up to stitching....

Maybe I could just glue some patches on....well...maybe some colorful fabric would be fun and cheery...

Anything will be better then these holes...just in case we get a sprinkle...I had some indoor/outdoor fabric scraps..perfect for this project...

Who knew it would be such fun...

If you look closer you will see where I used permanent marker and made stitch marks before gluing the patches with elmers spray glue ( great stuff)

I love the way it turned looks like a patchwork quilt in the sky.

When the sun is shining on fun to look at..

I think it matches all the flowers...and who couldn't use more flowers..

Now, I think I will be looking up alot...

Here comes the sun..

My sister Bobby would have loved this quaint little space filled with things she also loved....

This is my new hideout I think everyone needs a place to create...even if it's just in their head....

I wonder how long this will friend mary said to spray it with waterproofing, maybe I will do that, but for now I think I will pot some flowers....

Thank you for visiting today. I always appreciate you stopping by...I hope you enjoyed your visit and perhaps were inspired to create your own little space that brightens up your day...Please leave a comment, I love to know what you think, and if you choose to follow me, I am thrilled...

  5. I was just coming over to thank you for the compliment saying you love my blog and didn't realize this was you and that I already commented today on your post! Well anyway, thank for the compliment and I still love your umbrella! lol :)

  6. So nice to meet you! I am now following you back!

First, let me say that your potting bench is just magnificent and probably the envy of the neighborhood. What a fabulous piece you have created. I love how you saved your umbrella. Last year I saw someone sew a whole new cover for hers with ruffles that she added. I am sure either was a daunting task. I agree, looking up through yours is like a patchwork sky. Truly a delightful project.

  7. Oh..I love it.. what a warm and cozy garden spot.

  8. Oh my! How clever and how cute! I love the patchwork look.

  12. How clever are mew?!! That is pretty cute and I'm sure was fun to create. Now, I think purrhaps I will test it out as a good nap cover.....I'll let you know what I think.....but if you see me, please don't mistake me for a plant and try and pot might mess up my tail or crinkle my whiskers...not a good way to end a nap at all ;)

  13. Now, that is a great idea! Smarty pants!! Looks fantastic! Thanks for popping in for a visit and the sweet comment @TheDedicatedHouse. And, your kitty's blog is soooo cute! I know who rules your house. Toodles, Kathryn @TheDedicatedHouse
