The Christmas tree is in the living room, it's a skinny tree so it fits nicely in this space and can be viewed as you walk down the hall past this room....
Mr. S. always puts a timer on the Christmas tree so it goes on around dusk and stays on until around 10pm. Tina loves the tree, sometimes she lays under it where it is warm, however she never touches the ornaments or the tree it's self, she just looks.....
She loves to have her picture taken as you know and today is no exception.....
I made those little gift boxes a couple of years ago as a tree decoration, I saw a designer use this technique and loved it...I found the inexpensive boxes at the Dollar Tree and the printed tissue paper at Hallmark. A christmas ornament or sparkly piece of fruit and a glue gun and your all set to go. I glued the lid halfway off and the tissue paper cut into a small square tucked inside and the ornament glued on top of the paper.... I like the look.
The wreaths on the doors were from Michaels at 50% off for about 2.95 each and I added the red velvet wire ribbon with a gold edge...
This is the living room side of the fireplace, the den side has the white mantle with the garland and that side of the house is done in red and white candy cane like the kitchen table...This room is mainly red and gold and fruit theme...
SPARKLY....
I do use faux poinsettias, I am always careful just in case Tina takes a liking to a real one, I wouldn't want to take the chance..
Tina is toooo tired to continue for today, it is nap time...
What a beautiful sunny day, tough on the pictures though.....
I love the sparkly flowers in the tree.....
Thank you for visiting, hope you enjoyed the Christmas decorations. If you would like to leave a comment just click on the word comments. The centerpiece is a fruit wreath on top of a globe shaped decanter ......
This is the table where we had the dinner by the fire, it is a cozy place to be and now with the tree it is even cozier...

I am speechless. Everything is stunning. I adore everything you have done. My tastes and likes are all over the board. I love cottage, shabby chic, victorian, the modern farmhouse style, pottery barn style (was just there today :)) but beatuiful traditional furnishings and decor always stop me in my tracks. No matter which direction I go in my decorating I always come back to the traditional. I love your place.
