CANDY CANE AND SNOWFLAKE CHRISTMAS

A little whimsy at Christmas is a good thing....

I love the hand blown crystal birds on the plates, I know they are hard to photograph, but so well worth the sparkle...

I didn't want to put too much on the light, sometimes that makes it all tooo heavy....Just a little candy, just right...

MMMMMmmmmmmm Peppermint....

Cranberries....

I love the red and white bird plates, a birthday gift from my friend Mary, I think they break up the candy canes and stripes, the plates are from Pier 1...they have them at Christmas time and sell out of the red and white so fast...

Soooo cute the little candy cane place cards, they are from Michaels and I think are Martha Stewart, they are a recent purchase...

You know Mr. S. he just loves these....

Napkin rings and place card holders are from
Tuesday Mornings....

Peppermint and white chocolate suckers are a must.....

The Chocolate pot is from Pottery Barn, I have had for 3 years, the glass spoons also have a snowflake on the top and the small white snowflake plates are from tjmaxx...The faux cupcakes and cookes are on a large red Hallmark cookie plate, again a Christmas gift a few years ago from my friend Tiffany...

Great cupcakes and cookies and no calories, love the faux. I am afraid if I use real cookies and cupcakes, they would be gone before the pictures are taken.....

Layering the plates give the place settings some interest and contrast... don't you think....

The silverware is about 15 years old and has wonderful holiday berries and holly on the handles...I think it picks up the leaf design in the placemats...

The glassware have little candy canes pressed into the glass, you can actually feel them, so cute and too hard to resist....glasses from TJ Maxx.. The striped napkins are from Steinmart and are actually dish towels....

The large glass candle holders are from Macys a few years ago...

Can't believe I forgot to light the large candle, I guess not enough tweaking.....

Thank you for visiting. I hope you enjoyed some Christmas at our house. I always hope you will enjoy your visit and maybe even take away a couple of ideas you can use or just even remember. Thanks susan @betweennapsontheporch for hosting Tablescape Thursday... 38. Hi, Phyllis, thanks so much for stopping by today.
I have looked all over the world (well, maybe not ALL over) for some peppermint candles like you have and haven't found them yet. I surely don't have nearly the pretty plates and other items you have on your table but, I DO have some red ones..and some pretty candle holders..I can get pretty flowers...what i'm saying is that I would LOVE to have a Christmas table like yours....or, at least close to it. I will use your's as my inspiration..
