THE HOTTEST NEW COOKBOOK

I received my copy of this intriguing new cookbook a few weeks ago and I am so excited to start trying out some of the great looking recipes.  I  have tried some of her recipes in the past, so I know these will be wonderful....
As you all probably know I have been having some back problems, with a pinched nerve or some such thing that required an epidural to help with the pain and the inflamation in that area, not sure it has helped, we shall see, so I did not get a chance to make some of the delicious picks, soon though...anyway back to this fun book...it is such a clever idea, all the ingredients you can get at Trader Joe's (hope you all have one) if you don't have that store in your area... you will find most ingredients at a regular supermarket....
I am sure you are all familiar with Komili Nunna, she has a blog (yes she is one of us) it is komalinunna.blogspot.com and it is Entertaining from an Ethnic Indian Kitchen...she is pretty too, I am gonna give you a bigger picture of her....in her hottest new cookbook...
I told you she was pretty....I have picked out things I will be trying when my back is better, I do need to add a couple of her coffee recipes , they look delightful...
This first pick is Roasted Brussel Sprouts, with curry and lime and chile mixed nuts, yummy...
Don't these mini turkey burgers look delish, they have ginger, cilantro and a big slice of red onion...they had me with the red onion....Oh by the way, the coffee she makes is called Coffee Blast, it has ice cream, espresso coffee Kahlua Midnight Moo chocolate syrup and milk...are you just dying, I can taste it now....
These are Turkey Kofta Curry...I love the thought of turkey meatballs...they look so fresh, you gotta love comfort food...When you pop over to see Komali you will see some beautiful entertaining ideas and some unique ways of presenting great fresh healthy indian dishes...
Strawberry Chutney...this is something I may have to make a few jars of, maybe for friends and family that drop by.....so different
She had me at the word tart, this berry tart will be a wonderful addition to my recipes for the summertime..........I don't want to leave the impression I am completely laid up,  it's just painful to stand for periods of time...so when I am completely back to normal (if there is ever such a thing) I will be up to my regular "getting into everything" kind of life ...until then ... thankfully I had my daughter help out with the Valentine Day tablescape...I kept telling her I have to do a post or my friends and fellow bloggers will think I have disappeared, you can only leave up the Christmas pictures  for so long...lol

I Thought my last pick would be this delightful spinach-mango salad with yogurt dressing...and pistachio nuts, yummy...it's so pretty, I am gonna give you a better picture....
I Hope you have enjoyed some of the really unique items I picked ..pop over to see Komali, one of our fellow blogger authors...maybe I should write a book....just kidding

    Mil besos

  4. Hi Phyllis,

So sorry about that pinched nerve; it must be so very painful! Hang in there and get plenty of rest!

Your header is so darling! Such attention to detail. It brought a smile to my face.

Yes, I have come across Komali's blog, can't remember where, exactly. I DO remember that is is full of bright and bold colour, which I loved. Thank you for featuring her talents here today. I am very intrigued by that coffee concoction!!
