FALL FRONT PORCH

This is a repost from 2009, my how the time flies....If you are a new follower, I hope you enjoy this post and if your are a long time follower, hope this brings back some memories for you...

You've gotta have a palm somewhere, it's Ca. This one usually sits on the porch and it was too heavy to remove, soooo there you go...

If you look carefully you can see Tina in the front window, trying to figure out whats going on.. As a black cat shes all excited because Halloween is her favorite time of year....

The flowers are from Home Depot and Target...on sale of course...

She just has to see the whole process...The pumpkins are from Trader Joe's, I painted them white and then some black over the top...just adds a little pop, what do you think????

I like the little black pumpkin. After I painted it black and I used the end of a pencil eraser and dotted it in the white paint and just touched it, seems to have worked perfect....

I think it almost looks like a cannon ball.....
The black and white ribbon is from Michaels.
The fall color of the flowers sure make you feel like the season is upon us....

Tina is loving everything and as always has...
a lot to say ...
I love the way the black and white contrasts with the wonderful oranges and golds...

I traced around a leaf and painted it black, and when it was dry, I scraped a little of the paint off..

I hope you enjoyed your visit and  maybe got a few fun ideas...Please leave a comment, I read each one and am always so glad when you take the time to visit AROUND THE HOUSE...

  21. Hi Phyllis,

So seasonally fabulous! Love the painted pumpkins, especially the polka dotted one; how creative! And yes, I can SO relate to that 'permanent palm', living in Crete; if you can't move it, USE it! Phyllis, you are so imaginative and full of energy!

    Happy Halloween, my friend!

    Poppy
PS: Tina, of course, is the perfect prop!

  26. Although this is a repost I'm so glad you thought of sharing in again (it's new for me) and what an inspiration it is. I so love how happy your Halloween porch makes me feel. I do believe the front porch photo is post card worthy. So grateful you dropped by my blog today so I can start following you. As you asked about the clocks I used for party favors, I purchased them at Tai Pan Trading Post just last week.

  32. Phyllis, I love the black and white with the orange. The white settee is the perfect backdrop for everything fun that you have created. I think it is so fun to go outside of the traditional orange.

I will tell you about the lipstick signing - I had Linda Primmer at lifeandlinda.blogspot.com redesign my blog and I saw it on hers and asked her to add it to mine so you would have to contact her. I am always seeing so many fun ideas and I want them all! I wanted the fairy dust when you moved your cursor like latabledenana.blogspot.com so I googled it, but I didn't see an answer for the lipstick on google. She is so great to work with and just takes "donations" so I am sure she could help you out. I love it!
