WOMAN'S DAY MAGAZINE...WOW

It's just through this garage door.. it is the answer to the big mystery..

Can you guess what the Woman's Day Magazine wanted to do an article on??

You guessed it...The Potting Bench...wow We were so excited when they emailed from New York and wanted to do this article...lol...sure...We were thinking it would probably be a tablescape...nnnoooooo...Just a little background as to where the area is located..if you continue on through the second gate that says Fresh Flowers you will be in the backyard....

This is our main backyard and we love it a lot...I have never really done a blog on the backyard....I will do one this summer when the hill is full of flowers....

OK, Back to the Potting Bench...

I like to think of it as our little flower shop, bistro, art gallery, and garden tool storage area...it just makes you want to smile doesn't it???

Is that Tina?? She just might be in the magazine too.....She posed beautifully...of course...

This Josephina, she is the makeup artist they sent for the shoot...She is so talented and from Spain...

This is just some of her make up...wow..I need all this...

More make up...my my my

She said these colors are from Spain...

This is the wardrobe girl...love her shoes...you'll see below

So many choices..

Soooo cute shoes...

The photographer David Tsay is from LA...what a cutie...below is my neighbor Denise she was such a great helper keeping an eye on tina...you know how that is..
Tina loves to get into everything.....Thats me rushing to my shoot...lol

Wow...I look like I am on a mission.......
Below...Denise is keeping a sharp eye this shoot....

I am working on my camera like I am the photographer.....

Hi David...

Isn't he a hard worker...

Lots of people...so much fun..so exciting...

Lots of equipment.....

Wow...a lot of pictures.....chasing the sun...just like Tina the cat...

Some of the happy crew...

The article will be in the June issue of Woman's Day Magazine.......

.Thank you for stopping by and sharing this exciting day with us....Please leave a comment...I read them all and so appreciate you taking the time to visit...Phyllis

  27. Hi Phyllis, Congrats on being in Womans Day! Your neighbor, Denise, is my Aunt. She sent me this to check out. Everything looks great and I'm glad you're enjoying it. I just can't believe how your backyard looks. How could you fit it all in? It's amazing what goes into a magazine shoot. Great to get a behind the scenes look! Enjoy! 28. Phyllis, your potting stand is gorgeous and what an honor to have it shown in such a note worthy publication. I have been a fan of Woman's Day for many years. I would be excited to have that happen to me but would probably need meds to control the fear. Hee hee. I will look for the soon to be famous potting stand in the June issue.------------- Shannon

I love your little potting bench and it is the cutest thing I've ever seen! I love Woman's Day and was buying it back in the early 70s when, I think, it was about 59 cents! :)

  31. Hi Phyllis!

When you shared that potting bench at my Bunny Hop a few months back... I just knew that it should be in a magazine! How is is that they actually found you? Do they have someone perusing blogland looking for great material?

I think they should have used your Easter tablescape (from two years ago) too... maybe next year. I will be looking forward to the June issue!

You are SO creative and I always love seeing what you are up too :)

I agree with Gloria, above, that your Easter tablescape was a knock-out winner for all time! THAT should have been in a magazine, too.
