EVERYTHING CANDY CANES FOR BJ

Just re-visiting an old post that was a fun project. Hope you enjoy it......

Santa loves candy canes....

The candy jars are in the kitchen garden window....

Santa's favorite candy as you well know is peppermint, was there any question...

This special post is for my friend BJ who shares a love of all things peppermint and candycanes, check out BJ's blog Sweet Nothings , I know you will love it and tell her Phyllis sent you....hope you have a good time visiting....

I like the jars in the kitchen window to look like a candy store, so I

am always adding candy....It has been raining here so try and ignore the dirty windows, unless of course you are a window cleaner then welcome, and come on in...

MMMMmmmm, some of the large candy canes I sent for and they are from Bobs candy on line. Some of the other large canes are from Dollar Tree and were 2 for a dollar....

The suckers are white peppermint chocolate and peppermint cherry......

MMMMMMMMmmmmmmmm......

Candy cane ribbon on the mantle.....

I love the white ones, I think they are from Walmart.....................

My favorite glasses at Christmas from TJ Max, you can actually feel the candy canes and on the inside of the glass is a bump where the cane was pushed in, so unusual..... Candy cane candles are from Walmart....

The place cards from Michaels, Mr. S. loves that, you know how he is....

The large candy discs are from a discount store, don't remember where..

The wreath is from Home Depot and the ribbon is from Michaels, very inexpensive because it is not wired....

Yes of course BJ I had to add candy canes to my very first gingerbread house, I will be an expert by next year trust me......

Of course the doggies had to have some candy cane colars, they are from Michaels and are candle bases, you will see the wreath soon BJ just be patient, it will all come together...

My candle got a little smished, thats ok, I like them so much, I don't want to light them goofy huh...

This wreath is from michaels and yes it is the same as the doggie colars....

I have collected the jars for years and back then they were hard to find and very expensive, of course now they are everywhere and any kind of jars will do.....

The candy is from every where and any where I could find special candy....

Thanks for spending time AROUND THE HOUSE I hope you all enjoyed all the peppermint and candy canes....Thanks BJ for being such a good blogging friend, I hope you get enough of your candy canes for this year......I might just make a peppermint creme martini with some crushed peppermint around the rim,MMMMMMmmmmmm......lol..Please leave a comment, I love to hear from all of you.....Phyllis

  2. I just love your candy cane theme, Phyllis! I only have a few throughout the house, but it looks like such a Christmasy Candyland at your house! I may have to steal the idea for my kitchen next year. The jars all look great with the light coming through them. That is some size Santa, too! Fits very well there.

  7. What an array of peppermint candy!! It all looks so festive. I like the look of the red and white peppermint candy better than the candy itself (I'm a chocolate gal)!

  8. Love the candy canes! What a nice display of them all. And the windows...I would give anything to actually be able to get mine clean. I can never get them without streaks, smudges, etc., not matter what I try so I don't even notice, lol!!
